MusicLink Foundation

The MusicLink Foundation is a non-profit organization creating musicians -- one student at a time.  MusicLink provides kids who display a commitment to music and whose families are in financial need an opportunity to study with professional music teachers. Through MusicLink, nominated students up to age 18 are linked with volunteer teachers to provide lessons on partial or full scholarship. MusicLink continues to seek Business Partners, such as Frederick Johnson Pianos, who are willing to generously offer MusicLink kids discounted music and materials, reduced price or donated instruments and more.

Faber Series Piano Adventures Announcement

"Randall and Nancy Faber have announced the release of “second edition” books for Primer and Level 1 in their Piano Adventures Series.

The Fabers have made incremental improvements to the 4 main method books for each level (Lesson, Theory, Performance, Technique & Artistry).  All 8 books will be available for shipping to dealers beginning Monday, March 21, 2011 and Frederick Johnson Pianos will be receiving these 2nd edition books in the near future.  All of the prices and item numbers will remain the same. The original editions will still be available for a number of months and if necessary, be reprinted. All of the books (new and original Primer and Level 1) do correlate with each other. Piano teachers may use the 2nd edition alongside the original edition.

To facilitate both recognition and ordering each version, Hal Leonard, distributor of Faber Piano Adventures is adding a “60” prefix to the HL item number for the original editions. For example:  60420171 = Level 1 Lesson Book original edition and 420171 = Level 1 Lesson Book, second edition.

Attached is a 16 page PDF brochure from Randall and Nancy Faber that fully outlines all of the changes to the books.  The Fabers plan to broadcast this news to piano teachers on Friday, March 18, 2011. The publisher's original intent was for a release by the Fabers for MTNA, but due to backlog of orders, a decision has been made to release these 8 Piano Adventures Primer & Level One books ahead of schedule."
